We celebrated four years in our store on Broad Street in Downtown Gadsden this past week! If you notice my last post was our 3rd anniversary, so haven't been doing much blogging. We are still here and have our website still going, too! We have a lot of things for sale in our store that are not on the website, but it only takes a phone call and we can get something in the mail to you. Among a lot of great things in the store we have wooden signs and I wanted to share a few with you. They aren't on the website, but if you're interested call us and we can give you the information. We are open Tuesday-Friday 10-5:30 and Saturday from 10-2. You can reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 256 540 0910 or 877 843 2644. Also, follow us on Facebook where we keep you informed of events, new products and Share It and Win It Contest.

|Wine Bottle Chandelier|
On August 7th, we will be celebrating 3 years in our retail store in downtown Gadsden. Our specialty is still "Made in Alabama" gifts, foods and gift baskets, but we are becoming well known for our other "Southern" specialties! If it's not made in Alabama, then it is what us "Southerner's" love to wear or decorate our homes with. Silver, pearls, things to monogram, southern sayings, shabby chic furniture, lamps and chandeliers...oh, yeah! We still deliver locally and ship anywhere. Let me take time in this post to say thanks to family (I COULD NOT do this without you!), friends and loyal customers and tell you that you make this so much fun!! Kathy

Happy Fall Y'all!
Leaves are turning, pumpkins are for sale and all the Momma's are already trying to find that "perfect" halloween costume. Here in Alabama every day gets more colorful as we get deeper into Autumn. When you step into The Alabama Gift Company the look and smell of Fall meets you at the door. Our O'Henry's Pumpkin Spice coffee is brewed and a big container of beans are ready to sell. Fairhope Soy Candle in Pumpkin Crunch smells good enough to eat...but don't (there is a recipe on the box for a delicious Pumpkin Crunch cake). Southernness "Boo Y'all" candles will be here any day. Metal pumpkins and signs that greet you with "Happy Fall Y'all" are ready to be taken to your home and hung to greet your family and guest. Did I mention Pumpkin Butter and Mulling Spice? ..oh yeah, don't be caught without these in your cupboard! Come by to see us or shop with us online. If you don't see what your looking for call us, we will be glad to help you and will ship as quick as possible so that you can enjoy. Happy Fall Y'all!

Two Year Anniversary at Our Retail Store!
In August we celebrated two years as a brick and mortar business! Expanding from our web presence to an actual storefront has been awesome! We love interacting with our customers and have made lots of new friends. Thank you to our online customers for being so patient as our website has been under construction and now is up and running (still doing a little tweaking ;-)). We have lots of new "made in Alabama" and "Southern Inspired" items in the store. Come by and see us and keep checking the website as we are still trying to update products. We are on Facebook and would encourage you to "like" us and keep in touch with what is happening at The Alabama Gift Company. We do ship and have local delivery available in the Gadsden, Alabama area. Order online or call us here at the store to place your order for a beautiful and delicious gift basket to send someone to say "Happy Birthday", "Thank you", "Congratulations" or whatever the occasion. See us at 528 Broad Street in Historic Downtown Gadsden or visit us at www.thealabamagiftcompany.com.

Yellowhammer Ltd. Shirts, Hot and Hot Fish Cookbook, Richard Russell Art....just to name a few!!
Opening a retail store has made it possible to add new lines to The Alabama Gift Company. Just in time for Christmas, we have added Yellowhammer Ltd. shirts including polo shirts, long sleeve and short sleeve t-shirts and oxford cloth shirts. These are unique and a must for gameday! The Hot and Hot Fish Club Cookbook: A Celebration of Food, Family & Traditions from chef Chris Hastings, will be in the store the first of the week and we are excited to get it since we have had so many request for it. TAGC carries a large selection of Richard Russell collegiate art in paper and canvas. We have a great selection in the store and customers are buying early to put back for Christmas gifts. We will offer sales on Black Friday and have some coupons floating around out there in coupon magazines. Shop early on that Friday on Broad Street in Historic Downtown Gadsden and get some great deals. Ordering is still available online and we are trying our best to get new items on there, but if you're looking for anything in particular and you don't see it on the web, please call the store and we may have it there. I am so blessed and sometimes get caught up in "stuff" that I fail to show those around me that help me, and love me, how much I appreciate them and am thankful for them. I love ya'll and thank you soooo much for all you do! Ya'll have a blessed Thanksgiving and I'll see you soon!

The Alabama Gift Company opens at 528 Broad Street in Historic Downtown Gadsden
We have been open for five weeks now and are absolutely loving being in a retail store and downtown Gadsden! After working non-stop (with the most hard working family in the world) for two months, we opened on August 7. We are located across the street from Jefferson's and Blackstone Pub and next door to Prestige Realty. When you see the State of Alabama flag flying in front of the store, you've found us. The web business is still going and will continue to do so. I do have a lot of updating to do. Moving from home to the store front, I have been able to pick up some new lines and have not had time to put them on the website. Paint the Town Gadsden is held in the back of the store with classes every Friday night and sometimes in between for private parties, children's classes and birthday parties. TAGC hours are Monday-Thursday 10-5:30, Friday 10 am - 10 pm and Saturday 10-2. Come in and say hi and check out our Made in Alabama products. We are planning a grand opening soon and will let you know details soon. When you shop with us you are supporting Alabama businesses and artisans, so shop and share made in Alabama!
